The historical facilities of the ‘’Caseificio San Salvatore’’ farm and processing plant are located in the municipality of Pietramelara, an ancient medieval village built in Lombard times an integral part of the possessions of the Abbey of Montecassino. The territory located at the foot of the most important mountain communities those of Matese, Monte Monte Maggiore and Santa Croce, is rich of aquifers from which the most important national waters are produced. These mountain ranges mark the border North of the Campania region, bordering with the Molise region and the Lazio region. The entire hilly area at the foot of the mountains, previously a marshy area, boasts after the reclamation, of crisp air and a healthy climate thanks to the fundamental presence of much water, an area that lends itself perfectly to the breeding of Mediterranean buffalo.
